Hi Marcus, Yesterday STEARsoft automatically bumped everyone up a year successfully and is showing on the new year group on the web interface, however, after doing a full Server to iPad sync, the iPad is still displaying the old year group? Mark

Sounds a little odd... Are you comparing the iPad with the equivalent data within the same teacher account in the web version? The detail to check is the 'Year end' setting found in 'School setup' on the iPad and preferences in the web version.

Hopefully this gives you some pointers to either solve the mystery or reply with more details.

Yes, they run together with all info on the STEARserver PC. The end year date was set for Tuesday and the web interface does show their year group for September, but the iPad hasn't picked up the new year group after various tries of Server to iPad/iPhone syncs.

I'd like to look into this, but to help me could you please tell me exactly where you are looking in the web interface and where you are looking on the iPad. The 'year end' values for the teacher concerned (both web and iPhone) would also help (as identified above).

Hi Marcus, on the web interface we are looking at List all students and when on the iPad version, I am going on a register then clicking a students name, I can send screenshots if you wish. Hope this helps.

Hi Mark,

Could you please view the same attendance sheet when logged in as this teacher on the web version. Please then click on the same student name. I expect this to also be wrong (ie to agree with the iPad).

That's good. The issue is almost certainly what I initially thought it was. I am almost certain that at some point the date for change of year has been changed either in the teacher account, or in the admin account so they are now different. If you go to the preferences screen for this teacher you will find this setting is probably out of step, and you can change it there. It should fix the problem you're seeing in all places at once. I suspect the date may be such that it would all catch up and start showing the new year in a week or so anyway.

I hope that allows you to resolve this now.

OK, that should do it.

For reference to the future or anyone else reading this post, you could set it to yesterday to see an instant change. The year group information is actually stored as the calendar year at the start of year 1. This remains fixed and the 'Year group' is always calculated whenever displayed using the current date taking into account the end of year.
