How do I delete all student incidents so the students start with a fresh record in September?

Dear Mark,

Thank you for your post.

There is not a way to do this using the web interface. Incidents stick with a student until the student is deleted.

However, there are 2 things that may help: Firstly, when viewing incidents, you can filter by date to only see recent (current year for example) incidents. Secondly, you could wipe the incident log clean in the following manual fashion...

1) Stop the server (using the STEAR Administrator program)
2) Locate the directory where the data files are (this location is detailed in the manual for the purposes of backing up your data)
3) Use a file explorer/manager program to search for db-offence.csv in the data directory (and all sub-directories). This will list all the db-offence.csv files (1 for each teacher).
4) Delete all these files
5) Restart the Server.

Basically, deleting these files will cause all the incident data to be deleted. It's not as elegant, but shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.

No it will not delete Incident types. To delete Incident Types delete the db-offencetype.csv files
