Forum thread: Cloud server syncing with app

Hi,
I am trying to sync the cloud server with our app. But i cant for the life of me work out how to do it. The instructions on syncing say to use the PC name or IP address but obviously this isn't the case for the cloud version. I have tried https://'name'.stearsoft.co.uk which i say on another forum post but this doesn't work either. It still appears to be trying to access the network pc rather than looking for a web based cloud server. Please can you get back to me asap about how to do this as at the moment we are without registers due to the crash of our old server kept on the pc and trying to set up a new cloud based one.

I have now managed to get it to find the server - by putting port 443 rather than 13031 (not sure how i was supposed to know this though as cant find that anywhere - again seen in the forum answers)
But now it says server found and then:
Connection failure (854). Please check your wifi connection and the server network address
any ideas?? |

Thank you for your posts and sorry to hear of your frustration.
Thank you also for your separate email which sounded like you'd got it working.
I wondered if the issue was with using the 'Lite' version of the App rather than the full version? If you're able to post here what got things working for you I'd be very grateful so it might help others facing similar difficulties. It might also help me improve the software so that the issues don't cause such frustrations in the first place.
