Notes: (1) Per teacher login. (2) The students must all be taught by one teacher in each teacher account; if used by 5 teachers, they can each have their own set of taught students. (3) Total currently on role for the school (STEARsoft lets you go over this limit when for example you still have data of previous students who have now left; you should keep this to a minimum though). (4) If yes, then only one iPhone per teacher login. iPhone could alternatively be an iPod Touch or iPad. (5) Total across all teacher logins. (6) Web-based also means it can be used from other computers connected by a network. (7) Sign in/out screen can also be used to search for students. (8) Identifies, on a per-student basis, inconsistent attendance throughout each day. Inconsistencies are flagged by messages in attendance sheets to the relevant teachers. (9) ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) is a standard software interface for accessing database management systems. STEARsoft can use this to import teacher, student, class grouping and timetable data directly from existing databases you have that support this standard (which most off-the-shelf systems do). (10) Simplified overview useful when archiving and deleting old accounts/data. (11) Optional web panels that can appear alongside class or student screens to give wider school information or links; these can be used to give supplementary information if you have other web-based systems with more detailed school data. (12) Lite mobile versions can only synchronise in iPhone->Server mode.
